Application Process
Named Sub Trusts
Grants from these trusts tend to be for varied purposes and applications are invited from potential grantees by Nikau Foundation in June / July each year. There is no formal application form required.
While we invite applications it is important that we are aware of projects that fit our criteria that are being planned within our region. Therefore, if you think that you fit the criteria for these trusts please talk to us about what you are doing – if we think what you are doing is beneficial to the Wellington region and fits what we are attempting to achieve we will invite you to submit a formal application.
We will probably invite more applications than we are able to fund to allow our trustees to make a considered choice so an invitation to apply should not be taken as a certain approval. Applications are accepted from June each year.
The decision making process is longer for these trusts - recommendations to the various board committees will be in November each year and final decisions and advice to applicants would normally be made by January of the next year.
