Ways of Giving

There are three main ways of giving to your community through Nikau Foundation:

Named Endowment Funds

This is a fund that can be named after the donor, the donor's family, a business or in memory of a special person. Income can be distributed to any geographic area within our region or any cause that the donor wishes. Multiple options are available.

Generally this is for a contriibution greater than $75,000 - we are flexible and this amount may be contributed over a period. Please discuss your options with us.

This is a simple, cost-effective alternative to establishing, maintaining and managing your own private charitable trust.

Dedicated Funds

These are for amounts from $10,000 to $75,000.

Your gift is pooled with other like minded donors to benefit specific areas of interest. Options include:

• Arts, Culture and Heritage
• Services that support children, their families and older people
• Education and Youth
• Environment and Conservation
• Sport and Recreation
• Animal Care
• Medical Research
• Health Support

General Fund

For amount from $10 to $10,000.

Your gift will be pooled with other donations and the income will be distributed at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

Nikau Club

The Nikau Club has been established to support the administration and development of the Foundation.

Donations of $3,000 pa per member provide the bulk of the Foundation's administration and marketing expenses, its lifeblood and the hardest to find. We are happy to accept monthly payments of $250 by automatic payments from your bank if this is easier for you.
