Louise Parkin brings a wealth of experience from the community and voluntary sector for the important role of General Manager at the Nikau Foundation. She has had 25 years working with hundreds of charitable and philanthropic organisations both in New Zealand and internationally.
After working in London for 10 years, she returned to New Zealand and founded the Saints Information – Asia-Pacific’s largest fundraising research agency where she worked for 12 years. She then established Execucare NZ Ltd – a boutique recruitment agency specialising in charity management, fundraising, marketing and communications roles. In 2013, she was awarded a fellowship of the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand for her contribution to the fundraising profession.
Ms Parkin recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy and Non-Profit Studies) at Queensland University of Technology and is focusing on Disaster Philanthropy. In her spare time, she teaches the Japanese martial art of aikido to adults and children. Her personal philanthropy is for the benefit of the environment and international aid.

Adrienne is responsible for attracting funds for the Foundation. She spends much of her time discussing the Foundation with prospective donors, professional advisors and ensuring that as many people as possible are aware of Nikau Foundation and how the community benefits from their generosity.
Adrienne has previously worked as a director for Country Calendar among various roles with Television New Zealand, the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the Royal Society of New Zealand. She is a former chair of the Friends of the Malaghan Institute and is the President of the Alliance Francaise Wellington. She has two stepsons, one son and three young grandchildren. She is determined to be skiing still when the latter grow up.

Matthew is the latest addition to our team. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit and fundraising sector.
Marketing and Communications Officer
Caroline has been with Nikau Foundation since 2016 and is experienced in communications for non-profits and local government. She is currently working limited hours as her small children are keeping her busy!
Philanthropic Advisor: Borrin Foundation
Michelle Wanwimolruk is the Philanthropic Advisor for the Borrin Foundation. She is excited to be involved in setting up New Zealand’s newest philanthropic organisation and wants to make sure it delivers maximum impact for New Zealand. Michelle has worked as an independent Wellington-based consultant doing work in both the not-for-profit and public sector. She has also served on various not-for-profit organisation boards. Michelle comes from a management consulting and international relations background. Michelle is a Thai-New Zealander and values her Asian heritage. She lives in Island Bay with her husband and two school-aged children.

Lindy comes to Nikau with a background in accounts and administration both in New Zealand and abroad. With a wee break to set up and run a Wellington based gluten free baking company she is very happy to return to more regular hours with the Nikau Foundation who greatly benefit from her years of baking (and accounts and administration experience).
Lindy is a TRX, Pilates and boxing enthusiast who loves Wellington and lives with her whanau in Island Bay.
