The Board and team at Nikau Foundation were thrilled to attend the launch of the Michael and Suzanne Borrin Foundation last night at the Supreme Court. As trustee of the $38m foundation, we have all put in an enormous amount of work to assist with its establishment and are excited to see where the superbly talented Grants and Scholarships Committee have landed in terms of their vision. Check out the Borrin Foundation website here

Initial grants will fund research into New Zealand’s criminal justice system, tenancy law, employment law and law relating to prisoners’ rights, relationship property division, and will also support summer legal research internships. There are also plans to co-fund projects with The New Zealand Law Foundation later in 2018.

Thanks to everyone who attended and made this such a beacon of hope for a flourishing society – one that is just, inclusive, tolerant and free.
